Tet is considered the biggest and most popular festival of the year in Vietnam. It is the occasion for Vietnamese to express their respect and remembrance for their ancestors as well as welcoming the New Year with their beloved family members. The Tet holiday 2017 starts from 26th January to 01st February. During that time, Vietnamese visit their relatives and temples, forgetting about the troubles of the past year and hoping for a better upcoming year.
As the Immigration Department will off during Tet holiday, those who decide to travel to Vietnam in Tet holiday should apply for Vietnam visa on arrival in advance, better before 25th January. The Immigration office at the airport is still open, so as long as you have visa approval letter, you’ll get your visa stamp at the airport without any problem.
For those who forget to apply visa letter in advance and need a Vietnam visa during Tet Holiday, please email us immediately so we could try to help. We still online and answer email during Tet holiday, do not hesitate to email us then.
Wish you all the best and Happy new year!
